Dr. Dyer has a primary research focus on consumer values—their exploration, application, and connection to retailing and marketing--including research on the personal value of materialism, consumer perceived value relative to retail shopping, home furnishings, salon hair colorants, and apparel. Dr. Dyer has a special interest in how special populations, such as ethnic groups and older consumers, value their consumption experiences. Dr. Dyer also does research in the conflict management area in regards to new product development.
