From the hustle and bustle of business in big cities, such as New York, LA, and Paris, to travel abroad, to careers with Florida companies, students from the Department of Textiles and Consumer Sciences (TCS) find opportunities for exciting experiences and careers within retailing and its supporting industries. TCS offers areas of study related to a basic human process—consumption—using an integrative approach which addresses the needs of business/industry and the interest of consumers. The program provides educational and experiential opportunities in the design, development, distribution, management, merchandising and consumption of a variety of consumer products, with a focus on apparel.
