Honors in the Major

Quick Links

The Honors in the Major program provides talented students the opportunity to engage in independent, original research or creative work, culminating in a thesis or project report that is defended before a faculty committee. Each Honors student earns six to nine hours of 4000-level thesis credit over two or three semester terms. Honors work may be done only in the major in which the student will receive a baccalaureate degree. Students, who complete the program, graduate “With Honors” in their major.
