Marion S. Barclay Scholarship - (Women
in an Upper Division CHS Degree Program). Preference is given first to female students who are
residents of Hillsborough County, Florida, if such female(s)
qualify. If not, then deserving females of other Florida locations
may be selected. The awarding of
the scholarship shall be based on need and on academic ability. The
recipient is to be a female who is in an upper division
program leading to a Bachelors Degree in Human Sciences.

Adelein A. Burney Scholarship -
Be an undergraduate student in the College of Human Sciences.
Have a 2.0 grade point
average or better.

Hallie Deaton Choate Scholarship - Be a full-time student
in good academic standing. Be either an undergraduate or
graduate student in the College of Human Sciences. If a transfer,
must have completed two semesters as a full-time student
at Florida State University. If from Basic Studies, must have completed
one term as an upper level student. Provide evidence of merit
and need.

Hortense M. Glenn Scholarship -
Be a senior in the College of Human Sciences. Have demonstrated
dedication to academics and the College of Human Sciences.

Eunice Grady Scholarship - Be an undergraduate student
and have maintained a 3.0 GPA for the two preceding semesters.
Be recommended in writing by faculty from at least two departments.
Have goals for a professional career in one of the major
areas of Human Sciences.

Norejane Hendrickson Award - Be an undergraduate
student in the College of Human Sciences. Have a 3.5 grade
point
average or better. Be active in student leadership, preferably
within the College of Human Sciences, or elsewhere in the
university. Has made application to a Master's degree program in Human Sciences at The Florida State University. Recipient will receive the award once he/she is enrolled in a graduate program in the College of Human Sciences.

Etta Joel Award -
This award is designated for an outstanding Human Sciences
major who is either a junior
or a senior. To qualify, the student must show scholastic
aptitude; demonstrate personal qualities of respect and
leadership; show dependability, initiative, cooperativeness,
open-mindedness;
and the ability to make and carry out plans as well as
to make sound decisions.

Costa and Emma Kittles Scholarship -
Be a black African-American student. Have completed at
least one semester of study in
the College. Have a GPA of 2.25 or above. Demonstrate a
need for financial assistance. Demonstrate potential for
successful
completion of the undergraduate/graduate degree pursued.

Life Puzzle Scholarship -
This award is designated for a junior or senior Human Sciences
major
who has demonstrated, through their personal philosophy
and life style, an academic interest in and commitment
to furthering
a personal wellness model now and in their future professional
work.

Elsie Thomas Miller Scholarship -
This award is designated for an outstanding Human Sciences
major. To qualify, the student must be a full-time student;
be an undergraduate (junior or senior) or a graduate student,
majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Child
Development, Family
Relations, or Nutrition; show evidence of academic ability;
and show evidence of financial need.

Wilson-Sitton Scholarship -
This scholarship is awarded on an alternate basis annually
between an undergraduate and graduate student. Students,
who must
have been enrolled for at least one semester and
have
maintained
a 3.5 grade
point
average
for initial award and a minimum 3.25 grade point average
in the renewing year, may be in any degree program in the
College of Human Sciences (not including Interdivisional
Programs). Students must submit a 1-2 page typed statement
regarding their professional goals, focusing on how their
degree will help them to reach these goals.

Genevieve Thomas Scholarship - Be a black African-American
student. Have declared a major in the College of Human Sciences.
Have completed at lease one semester of study in the College.
