Dr. Cui graduated from Iowa State University with a Ph.D. in sociology and a master’s degree in statistics. In 2006, she joined the Family and Child Sciences Department at Florida State University. Her research interests include adolescent and young adult development, parenting, interpersonal relationships, and research methods and statistics. She has published articles in the Journal of Marriage and Family, Journal of Family Psychology, Journal of Research on Adolescence, Developmental Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Psychological Assessment, and Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. She serves as an editorial board member for the Journal of Marriage and Family and Journal of Youth and Adolescence. She has also served as a reviewer for many journals, the Rueben Hill Award, and NSF and NIH grants. She received a University Graduate Teaching Award in 2010/11, a University Graduate Mentor Award in 2013/14, and a New Contribution Award from the International Association for Relationship Research in 2002.
